EFFECTIVENESS OF THE INFLUENCE OF THE PHISICAL REHABILITATION MEASURES ON INDICATORS OF THE SPINE FUNCTIONAL STATE OF PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN AGED BETWEEN 7 and 10 WITH SCOLIOSIS

Abstract

The article presents the results of studying the effectiveness of the influence of physical rehabilitation measures on the indicators of the spine functional state of primary school children aged between 7 and 10 with scoliosis. The purpose of the study is to determine the level of impact of physical culture on the indicators which characterizes the functional state of the spine of children with scoliosis aged between 7 and 10.

Motor activity is a powerful biological stimulator of vital functions of the growing organism. The need to move is one of the leading basic physiological features of a child's body and is absolutely necessary for its normal formation and development. It is proved that the developed complex of physical exercises has a positive effect on the indicators of the spine functional state of children with scoliosis, including both boys aged between 7 and 10 and girls with scoliosis of the same age. The effectiveness of influence depends on sex and test indicators. Thus, among boys with scoliosis aged between 7 and 10, after the course of exercise, the mobility of the spine forward increases from a sitting position by 10.26%, among girls with spine deformity – by 6,82%. This indicates a higher (by 50.44%) effectiveness of exercises in performing this test among the boys of this age.

Thus, the developed complex of stage-by-stage physical exercises for children with spinal deformity aged between 7 and 10 is new scientifically grounded and effective study of measures for improving the functional condition of the spine. The next stage of our research is to study the influence of the developed complex of physical exercises on the indicators of the spine functional state among the children aged between 11 and 14.

Key words scoliosis; children aged between 7 and 10; indicators of the spine functional state.
