Abstract

The article highlights the relevant issue of providing modern higher education with electronic educational tools, which correspond to the general tendencies of informatization of education and modern requirements of developing the digital educational environment of an educational institution. National scientific data sources, which current representatives on new trends offer and which have been learnt in recent years, are analysed: electronic education institutions exist in the information and communication (digital) time; implementation of the principles of open education, which presupposes the general concept of the members of e-learning resources and requires their creation; the Next Generation of Digital Learning Resources (NGDLR).

The purpose of the article is to analyse the content and structure of the e-textbook “Ukrainian Culture of the End of the 19th – the Beginning of the 20th Century”, which was created as a component of the digital learning environment for primary school teachers’ training of SHEI “Donbas State Pedagogical University”, as well as an autonomous training manual for future culturologists’ professional training. The theoretical framework of the study is the principle of informatization of education, the principle of open education and a competent approach. The electronic textbook “Ukrainian Culture of the End of the 19th – the Beginning of the 20th Century” highlights one of the most interesting and complex stages of the existence of a national culture that has not yet received comprehensive scientific understanding due to a number of objective factors.

The guide is structured into five sections according to the main types of Ukrainian art that have evolved over the period under study: literature and theatre, architecture and sculpture, painting, music and cinematography. Each section contains a brief essay with information on general trends in the development of a particular type of art, dominant styles, creative portraits of figures of a particular field of Ukrainian culture and art, links to videos, a list of recommended literature and online sources. For the convenience of users, the authors have prepared a dictionary of the most common terms (162 names) and the index (284 persons). Test tasks have been developed to check the acquired knowledge. The features of construction of e-manual as a new generation digital learning tool are highlighted: intensive attraction of multimedia tools; implementation of principles of interactivity and integration of the arts.

The prospect of further research is to study the opportunities of using the developed learning tool in the professional training of future culturologists.

Key words electronic tutorial; digital learning resource; learning environment; Ukrainian culture; future culturologists.
