DIRECTIONS OF FUTURE MATHEMATICS TEACHERS’ TRAINING IN THE CONDITIONS OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES INTRODUCTION

Abstract

In this article the authors emphasize that the development of digital technologies and the expansion of their scope in modern society has the task of training the modern educator, who has information and communication technologies, freely uses them in the digital learning environment, has interactive technologies, software and technical resources to provide educational and methodological materials. However, in practice, a teacher, guided by an unlimited choice of digital technologies, cannot always apply and integrate them with teaching methods.

To solve this problem, it is necessary to ensure the development of the minimum necessary level of digital and professional ICT-competence of future mathematics teachers in the aspects of application of modern information technologies in accordance with the integrated requirements. This requires changes in the teaching of some subjects. Firstly, we should take into account normative ideas about the professional activity of future specialists. Secondly, at the procedural level, we should implement activities to solve problematic tasks, including phases of comprehension, active action and reflection. At the same time, it is necessary to include in the composition of the diagnostic component competency-oriented tasks that show the level of digital and professional ICT-competence.

The article substantiates the need to prepare future mathematics teachers to use digital technologies in future professional activities, the introduction of which in the educational process contributes to improving the quality of education. The following training directions of students from pedagogical universities in the conditions of digital technologies introduction while teaching disciplines of professional-practical training cycle are developed and described: realization within the framework of the basic educational-professional program of specialized educational disciplines in the selective part of the curriculum; organization of students' educational and research activities using digital technologies; active classroom and extracurricular independent work of students using digital technologies; use of digital technologies in the period of pedagogical practice; involvement of students in the formation of the Multimedia Educational Resources Fund of the University based on MOODLE.

It is concluded that the selected areas allow purposeful, gradual and consistent preparation of future educators for effective use of digital technologies in future professional activity. The current directions of further elaboration of the outlined problem are improvement of educational programs. The presented view and described experience will be interesting to experts in the field of teacher training for the use of digital technologies in education.
