Reforming secondary education requires the training of future geography teachers, who have the ability to independently summarize the information in order to represent the integrity of geographical concepts from the standpoint of different industries and subjects.

The results of the analysis of pedagogical literature indicate that the methodological and theoretical foundations of the introduction of integrated learning technologies in the educational process of secondary education institutions have been considered by scientists from the standpoint of a cross-curricular approach to learning.

The aim of the study is to analyse the training of future geography teachers for the implementation of integrated learning technologies as a basis for understanding the integrity of the world.

The future geography teacher, choosing the technology of teaching a particular topic, relies on the purpose and content of the study, selects forms, methods and means of learning to achieve the planned learning results. In this paper, the author considers the possibilities of integrated learning technology as a didactic system which provides interpenetration of substantive knowledge and skills, different activities at the level of subjects, topics, educational problems to form a holistic view of objects, processes and phenomena of the world.

The use of integrated learning technologies provides: the complexity of the process of learning geography, based on the integration of knowledge in various subjects; high performance in geography learning through actualization of cross-curricular relations; saving time because taking into account previously acquired knowledge in various subjects and geography topics allows you to submit a significant amount of learning material; a favorable psychological atmosphere through the cooperation of all students, their communication and assistance in solving specific tasks of integrated content; students’ motivation to study geography by receiving holistic ideas about the environment, which promotes students’ interest in geography lessons, enhances the personal values of students, and reveals their abilities.

Thus, the training of future geography teachers should be oriented to the study of the features of the introduction of integrated learning technology as a means of improving the effectiveness of the educational process in geography on the basis of integration of knowledge from various subject areas, which allows to take into account students’ age characteristics, their interests and abilities, to expand the outlook, and to form a scientific picture of the world.
