Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

  1. The scientific issue “The Professionalism of the Teacher: Theoretical and Methodological Aspects” accepts the scientific articles on relevant topics. Materials that do not meet the requirements of the subject or the paper structure may be rejected.
  2. The journal staff follows the worldwide standards of transparency of the review process, so this edition is practicing double "blind" peer reviewing of manuscripts.
  3. The articles, submitted to the journal, are sent for being reviewed by two independent experts within a week. The reviewer gets acquainted with the abstract of the paper and after that accepts or rejects to review presented material. If being refused another reviewer is appointed within a few days.
  4. During two weeks the reviewers get acquainted with the material and assess its scientific level, completing the "Peer Review Form" which is sent to the author by the editorial board.
  5. In the presented form the reviewers point out their comments and upload files with corrections or materials that can be used for refining the article.
  6. After filling out the basic "Peer Review Form" the experts choose one of the suggested recommendations:
    • “Accept the article” – the manuscript is ready for publication and is accepted without changes
    • “Correct the article” – is accepted if the author will takes into account the comments
    • “Return on re-reviewing” – need to be refined and re-reviewed
    • “Reject the article” – the manuscript does not meet issue requirements.
  1. After the process of reviewing finishes, the relevant information is sent to the author. Within 1-2 weeks the author corrects the article and loads the new version to the journal’s system. If after the indicated date the article is not returned (or not informed about the delay to the editor) – the article is removed from the queue and deleted.

Appeal process:

If the author does not agree with the certain reviewer’s comments, he/she has the right to appeal to the editor in the format “Reviewer’s notes – author’s comment”. This document is sent to the reviewer and appropriate decisions made together with the editor as to accepting the manuscript.

If the reviewers select mutually antithetical resolutions on the submitted manuscript (accept / reject), the editor appoints an independent expert.
